Q: Tell us about your background José…

I was born and raised in Murcia (Southern part of Spain). In college, I met a guy who was playing in the college rugby team. I fell in love with this sport from my first training session! A year ago, I had the opportunity to move to Dublin, and I hope to stay here for good.

Q: What made you want to join Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC?
I researched clubs once I knew where I’d move, and I only read good comments about SRRFC. The atmosphere, the environment is simply amazing. And the lads are the best crew one can ever expect, not only in the pitch, but outside too.

Q: Who is your favourite teammate?
I cannot choose anybody from the team because all of them gives their best, to me and to the team.

Q: Best thing about Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC?
Everybody is supportive and we act more as a “family” on the pitch than going for the glory for ourselves.

Q: Who will you be supporting at this year’s men’s RWC? Who do you think will win the RWC?
Definitely Ireland, is my home now. I hope Ireland win, we need another world cup for the northern nations.

Q: Any advice for people looking to get into rugby?
Don´t be afraid, just give it a try! And if you want to join a club, SRRFC is the best option.
